Industrial Hygiene
Industrial hygiene has been defined as “that science and art devoted to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of those environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace, which may cause sickness, impaired health and well-being, or significant discomfort among workers or among the citizens of the community.”
Simply put industrial hygienists focus on the health hazards in the workplace. Our in house professionals specialize in the detection and control of potential occupational health hazards such as airborne contaminants, noise, radiation, heat and ergonomics. You’ll be surprised how affordable our Industrial Hygiene services really are!

Breathing Air Testing
OSHA requires annual testing to ensure that compressed breathing air meet at least the requirements for Grade D breathing air described in ANSI/Compressed Gas Association Commodity Specification for Air, G-7.1”. Have your breathing air tested today.
Combustible Dust Hazard & Testing
Combustible dust is dangerous. In the last decade dust has caused dozens of explosions across the country which have destroyed facilities and injured or killed hundreds of people. Determine your risk potential and identify the steps needed to best eliminate explosion hazards.
Ergonomic Assistance
Committees can often lose sight of their goals and end up “spinning their wheels”. Having an objective third-party sit on the committee can help keep the committee on track. This will help guiding your committee members with the development and implementation of their safety initiatives in addition to overseeing their overall progress.
Heat Stress
"Heat stress" is the overall heat burden on the body. Heat stress should not be taken lightly. It is a serious condition that results in hundreds of fatalities each year. Monitor your workers exposure using traditional WBGT methods in addition to modern heat dosimetry.
Industrial Air Quality Sampling
Comprehensive monitoring services for thousands of airborne contaminants using NIOSH/OSHA approved sampling methodologies. Testing for dusts, fibers, fumes, mists, vapors (hydrocarbons, organic solvents, etc.) and gasses (Carbon Monoxide, Sulfur Dioxide, etc.).
Noise Testing
Conduct personal noise dosimetry and sound level surveys to determine if employee exposures to noise exceed the OSHA exposure limits. The OSHA Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) and Action Level (AL) for employee noise exposure are based upon an 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA). The OSHA AL is 85 dBA and the PEL is 90 dBA.
