Bio: Brad has been in the safety management field since the early 1990’s. Brad has a BS degree in Occupational Safety and Health Engineering and holds an Associate Safety and Health Manager designation from the Institute for Safety and Health Management. Brad’s experience includes Occupational Safety Program Design and Implementation, Emergency/Disaster Planning and Response, Workers’ Compensation/Injury Investigation, Safety Training and Workplace Auditing. He is also a Certified First Aid/CPR/AED instructor and OSHA Outreach Trainer.

Bio: Susan has been in the safety field since the early 2000’s. She has a degree in Industrial Technology and a tremendous amount of experience in construction and general industry. She has assisted two sites obtain their VPP certification and has become our go to expert on Safety Management Systems.

Bio: Ron B. has been teaching safety since 1987. He teaches CPR, First Aid, First Responder, Hazwoper, Forklift, and Aerial Lift. After his service with the Marines he became a Firefighter, EMT, Paramedic, Lieutenant, and finally retired as a District Chief for the City of Orlando.

Bio: Roy retired from the military in 1990 as a Vehicle Maintenance and Safety Supervisor and has worked for the FDOT since 2003. He has an extensive background in safety that includes teaching Florida Maintenance of Traffic, forklift, defensive driving, first aid, CPR, and AED, heavy equipment and much more.

Bio: William (Whit) Mathews has been in the Safety industry since the 1990’s. He has a B.S. in Construction Science and is a Certified Mine Safety Professional. He has a very diverse background and has worked on heavy industrial, DOT, petrochemical and manufacturing projects. He has also worked in construction materials, cement, aggregates, sand production and mining.

Bio: Pam is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and has been in the Safety industry since the 1980’s. She has decades of experience in developing and implementing industrial hygiene, safety and environmental programs and management systems. Her specialties include industrial hygiene, safety, employee training programs, emergency response and training, hazardous waste minimization, and air quality reporting and permitting. Pam is also an expert in the field of ergonomics and using Kaizen methods to improve productivity and safety. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) specializing in Industrial Hygiene.

Bio: Dan retired as a Lieutenant/EMT after 30 years of working with the Orange County Fire/Rescue. He has taught CPR, first aid, first responder and EMT instruction for 23 years and currently focuses his training on First Aid/CPR/AED when teaching with Safety Links.

Bio: Dana retired from Orange County Fire Rescue as a Lieutenant. Dana has an amazing skill set which he acquired in his 30 years in the emergency service. Dana’s knowledge and experience in emergency medical, fire, rescue and hazardous material operations is second to none. He is a licensed paramedic, a hazardous materials instructor, an emergency medical services instructor and a live fire training instructor.

Bio: Kurt has been teaching Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) for Safety Links since the mid 2000’s and currently teaches the Intermediate and Advanced levels. Kurt works with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and is responsible for the design, implementation, and inspection of work zones. Kurt does an amazing job passing his knowledge down to his students.

Bio: Kevin is a Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) instructor at Safety Links. He has been working for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) as an MOT inspector since 2000. It is safe to say that he has seen it all when it comes to Florida traffic control. It is that real world experience that Kevin is able to communicate to his MOT students. He is also a graduate of the University of California majoring in Engineering.

Bio: George Gibson has been in the Safety and Insurance industry since 1976. A graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business with a degree in Business Administration, his area of concentration was operations management. He is also a Certified Safety Professional and is active in the American Society of Safety Engineers.

Bio: Safety Links is fortunate to have Carlos on the team albeit in a part-time safety instructor. When Carlos is not teaching for us he works as a full time Safety Professional in the Citrus industry.

Bio: Robin Raphael is one of our newest additions and will be assisting Safety Links with our Spanish offerings. He is an OSHA Instructor for the General and Construction Industries; FDOT Instructor for MOT, ASHI Instructor for CPR and First Aid, and NRFSP Professor for Food Safety. Robin Raphael has decades of safety experience as a Civilian, and 28 years as a Military member serving as a Safety Specialist for the US Army Puerto Rico National Guard.
